Most of the libraries have gone through a series of renovations over the years, and many have placed additions on the original Carnegie buildings.  Librarians and architects may be interested in knowing in which direction the expansions took place on these sites.  Perhaps there is no need to reinvent the wheel, even given space limitations.  Each project is different, of course.  Some libraries are listed twice.
