A Brief History of the Building

1903:  Andrew Carnegie gave $50,000 to the town to build the library.

1904:  The building was dedicated.

1977: Stabilization and external repairs were made.

1981:  An addition was constructed.

This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
