                          Tuesdays & Thursdays 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
                          Saturdays 10 a.m.  to 5 p.m.

A Brief History of the Building

1903:  Andrew Carnegie gave $7,500 to the town to build the library.

1904:  The building was dedicated on September 6.  The Whitefield Woman's Study Club was instrumental in making the project a reality and getting the funding.

1990:  The basement was renovated and turned into a meeting room.

2003:  The library's 100th birthday was celebrated with an essay contest and an open house.
